Through the varied The Center for Women and Men and TRiO programs, students and individuals in transition are offered opportunities to increase success and decrease barriers to achieving academic and career goals.
The Center for Women and Men Programs
The Center for Women and Men is located on the Daytona Beach campus in room 218 of the Wetherell Student Services and Administration building (#100). CCAMPIS
Child Care Access Means Parents In School (CCAMPIS) assists eligible Daytona State College students with child care assistance.
Fresh Start
See how you can make the transition from displaced homemaker to student and/or working individual in our FREE 3-week course.
New Directions
If you are a single parent, displaced homemaker, single pregnant woman, or considering a non-traditional career, you owe it to yourself to investigate this program.
Fresh Start for Men
This program provides a FREE 4-week course designed to assist men in transition by providing support, offering practical life skills, and developing personal and career goals.

New Guidelines effective Fall 2011 for the Lending Library: Students receiving a Pell Grant must use their Book Voucher first before borrowing books from The Center for Women and Men. TRiO Student Support Services
TRiO Student Support Services, one of the federally funded TRIO programs, helps students stay in college until they earn their baccalaureate degrees. Participants receive comprehensive services, which include tutoring, counseling and instruction. Students are now being served in programs sponsored by more than 700 two- and four-year colleges and universities nationwide.Students participating in the Student Support Services/TRIO Program are more than twice as likely to remain in college than those students from similar backgrounds who don't participate in the program.

TRiO Upward Bound
TRiO Upward Bound is a pre-college program that helps prepare youth for higher education, located on Daytona Beach and Deltona campuses. The program provides a variety of services designed to meet the individual needs of each student including tutoring, Saturday sessions, counseling and mentoring, college planning and cultural enrichment activities. Participants attend Summer Academy which prepares them for the upcoming school year. Graduates of the program participate in a summer Bridge Program, which prepares them to make a successful transition from high school to college.

TRiO Educational Talent Search
Daytona State College, in partnership with the School District of Volusia County, will serve 500 middle and high school students each year in 11 target schools through the U.S. Department of Education Talent Search program; the five-year grant began September 1, 2011. Talent Search provides academic, career and financial counseling to its participants and encourages them to graduate from high school and enroll and complete postsecondary education.
