Develop your digital photography skills with Daytona State

DAYTONA BEACH, FL (April 12, 2011) - Develop your digital photography skills with a six-session course offered by the Center for Community and Professional Education at Daytona State College.

The course is offered at the College’s New Smyrna Beach-Edgewater Campus located at 940 Tenth Street, New Smyrna Beach - classes meet from 6 to 8 p.m. on six consecutive Tuesdays beginning May 3. The cost for the Beginning Digital Photography course is $129 plus supplies – the instructor will provide the required list of materials on the first day of class.

Use your own digital camera to improve your photographic results with the assistance of Tina Curry. With more than 12 years experience, Curry is a resident of New Smyrna Beach and photography instructor at the New Smyrna Beach High School.

"Digital cameras have created an explosion of interest in photography, however many people are disappointed with their imagery," explained Curry. "Students will learn how to share family photos, download images to their computer, do basic editing, file saving, printing and e-mailing. Skills and techniques will be acquired to control digital camera functions and data media in the everyday world. Basic imaging skills using a digital camera and
digital imaging technology to manage and edit image libraries will be introduced."

Teachers will have the option to receive CEU’s, in-service professional development points and or complete sessions as IPDP professional development study.

Participants should bring with them their digital camera, owners manual and have basic computer skills.
