Veteran New York Times and Boston Globe correspondent scheduled for April 11 lecture at News-Journal Center

Stephen KinzerDAYTONA BEACH, FL (March 30, 2011) – On the heels of an assignment in Turkey for the New York Review of Books, veteran New York Times and Boston Globe correspondent, Stephen Kinzer, will present “The Democratic Explosion: Egypt, Iran and the New Middle East,” Monday, April 11 at 7 p.m. The lecture is free and open to the public and will be moderated by Marc Bernier.

Kinzer’s appearance is part of a series of lectures entitled Ancient Persia/Modern Iran. The series is presented by the collaborative efforts of the Iranian American Society, Daytona State College, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Stetson University, Bethune-Cookman University, Southeast Museum of Photography, WDSC-TV 15 and WNDB AM 1150.
