SBDC expands services to Flagler/Palm Coast; seeks area manager for community role

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (April 14, 2011) – Reporting to the Director of the Small Business Development Center, candidates are sought to fill an area manager position serving the business community in Flagler/Palm Coast.

“Ideally, we’re looking for someone who is experienced in owning and operating a small to medium sized business,” commented Ned Harper, director, SBDC at Daytona State College. “The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate that they can advise businesses on business planning and development.”

Specifically, the role will be responsible for the development and production of programs for the small business community. These programs will be focused toward providing the small business owners with up-to-date and relevant information concerning the well-being of their businesses. They will also be responsible for communicating and attaining program goals and objectives.

In addition to having excellent verbal and written communication skills, candidates should have a master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience.

The Area Manager will be based at the City of Palm Coast located at 160 Cypress Point Parkway, Suite 106, Palm Coast, FL 32164. Periodic evening and weekend work may be required, as well as moderate travelling.
